Retirement
Our beloved secretary Margaret O'Grady officially retired during the festive Christmas season, marking the end of an era at our school. Her departure was met with a bittersweet mix of emotions as we bid farewell to a dedicated member of our school community. Margaret's unwavering commitment, hard work, and invaluable contributions have left an indelible mark on the school, and for that, we are truly grateful.
During a heartfelt ceremony, Father Brendan, representing the Board of Management, teachers, and the entire school community, expressed our collective appreciation for Margaret's years of service. A special gift, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, delectable chocolates, and a stunning cake from Tina were presented to Margaret as tokens of our gratitude. We extend our warmest wishes to Margaret for a fulfilling retirement and express our deepest thanks for her lasting impact on the school.
Christmas Show
The recent Christmas Show showcased the incredible talents of our students, who captivated the audience with their performances. Ms. Casey and James are commended for their dedication in preparing the children, especially for their impressive tin whistle performances. A special mention goes to the parents for their delightful home-baked treats, which added a touch of warmth and festivity to the event, greatly appreciated by all.
Letters to Santa
The joy and excitement of the holiday season were palpable as the children eagerly posted their letters to Santa at Causeway Post Office. The generous gesture of receiving a selection box from Miriam brought smiles to their faces, creating cherished memories. Following this heartwarming tradition, a visit to the playground further added to the children's delight and festive spirit.
